Our story

We, Jan and Ulla-Mi Rosman, founded a foundation in October 1984 while we lived in the village Nävekvarn. According to the paragraph section, the foundation was to be used to "conduct Christian Bible teaching activities". We got the name "Agape" in our hearts early on. It means "divine self-giving love."
  • Year 1985

We had already started the mission itself and in June 1985, two Agape congregations were formed - one in Nyköping and one in Norrköping two days apart. Jan became a pastor and "Bible teacher". In August of the same year we moved to Norrköping. We traveled with faith teaching (bible teaching) in Sweden mainly.

  • Year 1992-93

1992 became a breakthrough year in many ways when we could start a school, a preschool and build a house for the family - which by now had been enriched with four wonderful children. In 1993, a missionary journey began that over the years has taken us to more than 50 countries in the world - with Bible & leadership instruction in the luggage.

  • Year 2010

2010 was a new breakthrough year when we were able to buy the former SVT (Swedish Television) house in Norrköping - and gather both schools, preschool, leisure center and parish under one roof, also with spacious land and garden. We received inquiries from both Nyköping and Flen about guidance for the Christian independent schools that had been started there. We accepted both challenges and formed a small school group. Ulla-Mi was trained as a preschool teacher and later also as the principal of the preschools.

  • Year 2015

The next breakthrough year came in 2015 when Jan, after 30 years as local pastor, was able to actually release the leadership of the congregation to a new generation; namely, David Ekerbring. A powerful development took place in the parish activities and everything just changes in all directions at the same time. Jan is still chairman of the Foundation and head of the schools!

  • Year 2020

In 2020, we took the step of forming a non-profit association to administer the parish's finances and judicial aspects. The congregation's services and activities are led by its director, David.

  • It is wonderful to live in God's will - with His wind at your back. We look to the future with confidence and faith. There are so many needs and almost endless opportunities to live and work in our time. Especially as we live with the assurance that God has "poured out his Spirit upon all flesh." Then it's just to keep up the good work with Him, in Him and through Him! Today we try to focus on helping schools, churches and movements. We have this motto in the church: “live for others; live for one another… ”

Jan Rosman - Chairman of the foundation

“For the very first time, we were able to conduct our own course - Agape Bible Course - for a group of spiritual leaders and pastors in Kigali, Rwanda - in September 2019. It is about fruit, gifts and ministry - ie character, capacity / abilities and willingness to serve.

The content itself is based on our collective life messages about faith, hope and love. It was much appreciated among these pastors where many have many congregations - and Christian schools. We get to be involved in building nations from the ground up. Several different Christian movements were represented here and we just put God's word straight into them all. ”

Help us strengthen and build the people of God in many nations!

"And he who overcomes, and keeps my works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations ..."
